Virda A. Moldenhauer, 94, of Menfro, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born Feb. 3, 1914, daughter of Edwin and Josephine Boxdorfer Horn. She and August J. Moldenhauer were married June 3, 1933. He preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1997.
She was a bookkeeper in the family business, Moldenhauer Mill, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Crosstown, Mo. She liked to harvest her pecans.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Charlotte) Moldenhauer and Melvin (Ruby L.) Moldenhauer, all of Perryville, Mo.; a sister, Dolly Corse of Columbia, Mo.; a half-brother, Garland Horn of Granite City, Ill.; a half sister, Myrna Jean Holcom of Cahokia, Ill.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren; and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Leroy and Robert Horn; two sisters, Beatrice Hager and Marie Lowell.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Crosstown. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
