Violet Wallace

Violet V. Wallace, 90, of Scott City died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo. She was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Fornfelt, Mo., daughter of Noah and Margaret Jane McCollum Caler. She and Allen Wade McCarty were married Aug. 29, 1947. He preceded her in death. Violet V. Wallace, 90, of Scott City died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.

She was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Fornfelt, Mo., daughter of Noah and Margaret Jane McCollum Caler. She and Allen Wade McCarty were married Aug. 29, 1947. He preceded her in death. She then married James W. Wallace July 2, 1956. He also preceded her in death.

Violet was a member of First Baptist Church of Scott City, Eastern Star Cape Rock Chapter 60 in Cape Girardeau and Rebekah Lodge 605 in Marble Hill, Mo.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Carolyn (Bill) Bartolomucci of Whitesboro, Texas; three stepgrandchildren, Carson Bartolomucci, Gaylon Wampler, Jimmy Wampler; a great-grandson, Joshua Bartolomucci; a great-granddaughter, Mia Bartolomucci; two great-great-grandchildren, Elia and Ethan Bartolomucci.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a stepdaughter.

Friends may call from noon to service time Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. Greg Fina and Chris Sisk officiating. Interment will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
