VIOLET GRONER

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Violet Groner, 77, of Dongola died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

She was born May 18, 1920, at Perks, Ill., daughter of Edgar and Bessie Robertson Beasley. She married Howard Groner on March 23, 1947.

She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church at Perks. She and her husband operated the family farm near Perks for years. They were avid campers and members of the Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky Airstream clubs and the NCHA Retirees.

Survivors include her husband and a sister, Louise Boutwell of Perks.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. A.W. Landis officiating.

Burial will be at American Legion Cemetery.
