MATTHEWS -- Viola Gill, 91, of Sells Rest Home in Matthews died Sunday, March 26, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Feb. 26, 1904, in Hayti, the daughter of William F. and Lora T. Lawless Hornback. She was married to Hartbirt C. Gill on June 9, 1927, in Blytheville, Ark. He preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1973.
Formerly of Kewanee, Gill was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kewanee, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the New Madrid Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat Blankenship of New Madrid, a grandson and two step-great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. James Brice will officiate, and burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
