ORAN -- Funeral service for Viola Hancock Crain of Oran will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Richard Farquhar will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Crain, 53, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born May 3, 1943, daughter of William Theodore and Pearl Etta Bailey Frazier. She married Calvin Hancock, who died July 5, 1979.
Crain was a retired nurse aide.
Survivors include a son, Terry Hancock of Morehouse; two daughters, Toni Elfrink of Oran, Tammy Burks of Bonne Terre; two stepsons, Leon Hancock of Illinois, Glenn Hancock of East Prairie; two stepdaughters, Barbara Miller and Carolyn Wasson of East Prairie; a brother, Francis Frazier of Klein, Texas; three sisters, Estelle Hampton of Sikeston, LaWanda Langley of Tucson, Ariz., Earlene Crain of Murphysboro, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
