CHARLESTON -- Viola Bryson, 85, of Mayfield, Ky., died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner.
She was born Feb. 17, 1912, in Dyer County, Tenn., daughter of Jake and Luler Pope Clark. She first married Marvin Hall in 1931. He died in 1937. She and Tom Bryson were married in 1942.
Bryson lived in Kentucky most of her life.
Survivors include her husband of Dover, Tenn.; two sons, Jim Hall of Benton, Tommy Bryson of Cuba, Ky.; two daughters, Sue Workman of Troy, Tenn., Katie Moore of Dover; a sister, Katie Short of Dyersburg, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers, a sister, a grandson, and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
