JACKSON - Vincent "Vinc" LeGrand, 70, of Jackson Route 1, died Thursday, April 23, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
LeGrand was born near Benton Jan. 18, 1922, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence LeGrand.
He married the former Wilma "Jean" Kesterson Oct. 18, 1958, in Cape Girardeau.
LeGrand was a farmer at Chaffee with his father for a number of years. For 16 years he worked as an assistant engineer on a riverboat. From 1986 to December 1991 he worked at Rapco in Jackson.
LeGrand served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Richard LeGrand, Jackson Route 1, Paul LeGrand, Oak Ridge Route 1, Michael LeGrand of Jackson; a daughter, Velvet Walter, Jackson Route 1; four brothers, Ben and Art LeGrand of Cape Girardeau, Arnold LeGrand of Chaffee, Norman LeGrand of Royal Oak, Mich., and eight grandchildren.
A brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy will officiate.
Memorial services will be announced at a later time. Burial will be in the Hanover Lutheran Church Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
