Vincent F. Schmidt, 84, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1993, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center. He was born Oct. 15, 1908, in Cape Girardeau, son of Joseph A. and Agnes Roelker Schmidt. He and Mildred Rose were married June 14, 1928, in Cape Girardeau. She died July 3, 1986...

Vincent F. Schmidt, 84, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1993, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

He was born Oct. 15, 1908, in Cape Girardeau, son of Joseph A. and Agnes Roelker Schmidt. He and Mildred Rose were married June 14, 1928, in Cape Girardeau. She died July 3, 1986.

Schmidt had worked at International Shoe Co., worked at Rigdon Laundry 22 years, Budget Laundry 19 years, and owned and operated Smitty's Bar.

Survivors include a brother, Joe Schmidt of Marble Hill.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fairmount Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Zoellner officiating.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 9-9:45 a.m. Thursday.
