CHAFFEE -- Vincen Le Roy Chase, 76, of Chaffee died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, at his home. He was born March 19, 1921, in Auburn, Maine, son of Leo Chester and Ethel May Fuller Chase. He and Louise Krouse were married March 29, 1964. Chase had owned and operated Chase House Restaurant in Cape Girardeau. He moved to Chaffee earlier this year from Cape Girardeau. CHAFFEE -- Vincen Le Roy Chase, 76, of Chaffee died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, at his home.

He was born March 19, 1921, in Auburn, Maine, son of Leo Chester and Ethel May Fuller Chase. He and Louise Krouse were married March 29, 1964.

Chase had owned and operated Chase House Restaurant in Cape Girardeau. He moved to Chaffee earlier this year from Cape Girardeau. He was a member of First Baptist Church and VFW Post 3127 at Chaffee.

He was a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Eugene Scalf of Libby, Mont.; a brother, Leo Chase of South Paris, Maine; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

There is no visitation.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Union Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Ellis officiating.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
