CHARLESTON -- Victor Adam Steinman, 84, of Charleston died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 1995, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 5, 1911, at Argyle, son of Henry and Margaret Wieberg Steinman. He and Margaret Gertrude "Maggie" Chambers were married Oct. 16, 1945. She died May 27, 1986.
Steinman retired from farming in 1986. He was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include three brothers, Henry Steinman Jr. of Russellville, Wilfrid Steinman of Phoenix, Ariz., Sylvester Steinman of Argyle; two sisters, Catherine Kimball of Eldon, and Florentine Schwartze of Argyle.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Henry's Church, with the Rev. Rich Lause officiating. Burial will be in Texas Bend Cemetery.
