Vicky Lankford

Vicky L. Lankford, 41, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 17, 2010, at her home.

She was born in Perryville, Mo., Aug. 23, 1968, daughter of Harold and Patsy Joyce Hunt Lankford.

Survivors include her father of Fredericktown, Mo.; a brother, Larry Lankford of Festus, Mo.; four sisters, Brenda (Alan) Stark, Cindy Schremp, Carla (Neil) Schremp, all of Perryville, Debbie (Dave) Boyer of Cape Girardeau; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Ms. Lankford taught sociology at Southeast Missouri State University. She was a member of La Croix United Methodist Church.

She was a graduate of Southeast with bachelor's and master's degrees in sociology.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating.

Memorials are preferred to family.
