PERRYVILLE -- Vernon O. "Ben" Kluender, 76, of Perryville, died Saturday, March 19, 1994, at his residence. He was born Feb. 11, 1918, in Perry County, son of Alfred and Louise Gerstacker Kluender. He married Mary A. Broeker, Nov. 7, 1942. She died Oct. 15, 1980...

PERRYVILLE -- Vernon O. "Ben" Kluender, 76, of Perryville, died Saturday, March 19, 1994, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 11, 1918, in Perry County, son of Alfred and Louise Gerstacker Kluender.

He married Mary A. Broeker, Nov. 7, 1942. She died Oct. 15, 1980.

Kluender was a retired farmer.

Survivors include two sons, Melvin Kluender and Robert Kluender, both of Perryville; a daughter, Sylvia Rhyne of Ballwin, Mo.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 6:30-11 a.m. today at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, with the Rev. Dean Edwards officiating.

Burial will follow in the Home Cemetery.
