CHAFFEE -- Vernon C. Menz, 63, Chaffee Route 1, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at Festus.
He was born Jan. 27, 1935, at New Hamburg, son of Theon Henry and Bertha Katherine Hahn Menz.
Menz worked in the service department at Dow Chemical Co. in Pevely. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Alfred Menz of Kelso and Gilbert Menz of Chaffee.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton after 4 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers will be at 7:45.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
