ADVANCE, Mo. -- Ethel Verneal Daniel, 93, of Advance passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1921, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 11, 1921, at Bell City, daughter of Monal Alonzo and Hazel Lee Rodgers Wilkerson. She and Cletis C. Daniel were married in 1939 in Advance. He preceded her in death June 28, 2000.
Verneal had worked in factories and as a medical technician at Advance Nursing Center. She was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include four sons, Cecil, Jerry and John Daniel of Puxico, Curtis Daniel of the home; a daughter, Mabel Lacy of Ackerman, Mississippi; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Cletis Daniel Jr.; and a brother, J.M. Wilkerson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
