Vernadean Barnes, 64, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000, at the Hilltop Nursing Center at Harrison, Ark.
Barnes was born at Bell City on Dec. 11, 1935, daughter of the late Arnold and Bessie Whittley Case.
She had lived at Idalia before movingt to Harrison 25 years ago. She was a member of the New Testament Church in Bergman, Ark.
She married Buddy Barnes on Dec. 12, 1957, at St. Louis.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Gary Barnes of Green Forrest, Ark., and Kenneth Barnes of Harrison; two daughters, Linda Christian Latta of Green Forrest and Sandra Roberts of Harrison; her mother of Circle City; four brothers, Robert "Bud" and Ronnie Case, both of Walnut Hill, Ill., Lawrence Case of Washington, Mo., and Larry Case of Dexter; a sister, Brenda Watson of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins & Son Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel, with Bro. Coma Rivers officiating.
Interment will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
