MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Verla Jean Crites, 82, of Marble Hill passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at the home of a grandson.
She was born April 1, 1932, at Sedgewickville, Missouri, to Harley and Hattie Bollinger Propst. She and Howard Crites were married Aug. 27, 1949. He passed away Sept. 27, 1991.
Verla was a member of Scopus United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school many years.
Survivors include a son, Dean (Sandra) Crites of Marble Hill; a daughter, Verla Sue Jordon of Patton, Missouri; four grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phillip Jordon officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery at Scopus.
