VERDIE CLIMER

WAPPAPELLO -- Verdie Climer, 72, of Wappapello died Thursday, Dec. 26, 1996, at her home.

She was born Dec. 19, 1924, in Cloud Chief, Okla., the daughter of John D. and Ruby Brown Goucher. On Aug. 14, 1964, in Gresham, Ore., she married Pearl Climer.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Charles Ray Cravens of Fort Hood, Texas; six daughters, Martha Pinkston of Phoenix, Ariz., Ruby Ella Cravens of Altus, Okla., Rose Winegardner of Wappapello, Beverly Barleena of Lawton, Okla., Francis Disafono of Fisk and Judy Payne of Mooreville, Miss.; two brothers, John D. Goucher of Gracemount, Okla., and Virgil Goucher of Verden, Okla.; five sisters, Jenney Carr of Okla., and Virginia Goucher, Ruby Goucher, Dorothy Goucher and Betty Goucher, all of California; 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5-7 p.m. Friday Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Bradley of Morley.
