MILLER CITY, Ill. -- Vera E. McCoy, 96, of Beaumont, Texas, died Monday, June 17, 1996, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

She was born Dec. 10, 1899, in Miller City, daughter of John and Elizabeth Hochnedel Willis. She married Thomas W. McCoy, who died in 1951.

McCoy was a member of First Baptist Church in Beaumont.

Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Becker and Elaine Frazee of Beaumont; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a grandson and six brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 10 a.m.-noon Friday.

Graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Baumgard Cemetery in Miller City, with the Rev. Walter Becker officiating.
