Vera Beck

Vera Kathleen "Kay" Beck, 94, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023.

She was born in Steele, Missouri, Jan. 5, 1929, to John Issac and Ola Couch Cunningham. She married Fredrick Beck and lived in Richmond, Indiana, for 43 years.

She was employed by Earlham College for 27 years.

Survivors include her sister, Geneva Ottinger; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Cunningham; nephews, Terry (Diane) Ottinger, Tracy Cunningham and Scott Cunningham; a niece, Donna Safley; a special friend, Dan Neely; and numerous Chateau Girardeau friends.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Naomi Long; brothers, Gerald and Kenneth Cunningham; and brother-in-law, Ralph Ottinger.

A private service will be held at a later date.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
