Velta Douglas

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Velta Rosalee Douglas, 68, of Marble Hill passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Woodland Hills in Marble Hill.

Velta was born Aug. 20, 1943, at St. Louis, daughter of Clarence and Lona Abernathy Douglas.

She had retired from VIP Industries.

Survivors include two brothers, Clarence (Cleo) Douglas of Farmington, Mo., and Darrel Douglas of Patton, Mo.; four sisters, Ernestine Strong of Scopus, Mo., Marceda Long of Marble Hill, Maretta (Harold) Lowes of Jackson, and Carolyn Sue (Jimmy) Rogers of Nacogdoches, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Elijah Allen, the Rev. Terry Douglas and the Rev. Chris Douglas officiating. Burial will be at the Pulliam Cemetery, near Marble Hill.
