Velma Parnassos
Velma Marie Parnassos, 78, of St. Louis died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 11, 1930, in Leachville, Ark.
A wonderful wife of 58 years, and a loving mother who taught by example the values of truth, love and the importance of family. Spoiling her only granddaughter gave her great delight. She loved the Lord and cared deeply for all those around her.
Mrs. Parnassos gave many dedicated years of service to the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance/Robert Qualy Agency.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Parnassos of St. Louis; daughters Barbara (Mark) Hilton and Deborah (Wayne) Smith; dear grandmother of Ashleigh (Charlie) Howlett.
She was preceded in death by her dear father Harvey Roy Jones and mother Viruth Jones; her sister Margaret Jones, brothers Roy Mac and Bud Jones.
Visitation is 11:30 a.m. through the service time at 12:30 p.m. today at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, with Dr. David Kerr officiating. Interment is at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
