PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Velma L. Lilly, 87, of Perryville died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born Sept. 5, 1922, in Myrtle, Miss., daughter of John and Leona Perkins. She married James Lilly, who preceded her in death...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Velma L. Lilly, 87, of Perryville died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Sept. 5, 1922, in Myrtle, Miss., daughter of John and Leona Perkins. She married James Lilly, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry (Lillian) Lilly of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Robert (Lois) Lilly of Jadwin, Mo., Charles (Judith) Lilly of Perryville; two daughters, Linda (Norm) Guhe of St. Louis, Kay Claybrook of Perryville; a sister, Beulah Spencer of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, James Lilly; and a brother.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday at Miller Family Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tisha Mundy officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
