JONESBORO, Ill. -- Velda M. Ridgway, 78, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997, at Jonesboro Healthcare Center.

She was born March 7, 1919, in Williamson County, daughter of Ora and Mammie Green. She and Donald Ridgway were married Dec. 19, 1937, in Paducah, Ky.

Ridgway was a member of Anna Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Oliver Ridgway of Anna, Steve Ridgway of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a sister, Eula Brown of St. Charles; and two granddaughters.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Anna Church of the Nazarene, with the Revs. Ralph Lee and Garnett Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
