Vacal Irene Henson, 95, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Capetown Assisted Living. She was born Sept. 28, 1910, in Hamilton County, Ill., daughter of Nimrod and Emma Jane Dailey Estes. She grew up on a farm near Bell City, Ill. On Nov. 13, 1932, she married her beloved John Arthur Henson in Centralia, Ill. He passed away April 3, 1985...

Vacal Irene Henson, 95, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Capetown Assisted Living.

She was born Sept. 28, 1910, in Hamilton County, Ill., daughter of Nimrod and Emma Jane Dailey Estes. She grew up on a farm near Bell City, Ill. On Nov. 13, 1932, she married her beloved John Arthur Henson in Centralia, Ill. He passed away April 3, 1985.

Mrs. Henson was a seamstress 14 years at Murray Developmental Center for Children. She belonged to Belle Prairie Baptist Church. She moved to Cape Girardeau in June 2000 to be near her nephew and the rest of her family.

Mrs. Henson is survived by a niece, Bernice Osborn; a great-niece, Joyce Barylski and great-nephew, John Osborn, all of Cape Girardeau; a great-niece, Julie Osborn of St. Louis, and great-nephew, Jim Osborn and wife Diana of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

She is also survived by great-great-nieces, Andrea and Lynette Osborn of Poplar Bluff; and three great-great-nephews, Matthew Osborn of Poplar Bluff, Mark Barylski and wife Jennifer of O'Fallon, Mo., and Dan Barylski and fiancee Angie Long of O'Fallon.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lela Osborn of Centralia, Inez Froom of Mount Vernon, Ill., and a nephew, Frank Osborn of Cape Girardeau.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Osborn presiding. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia.
