U.V. Campbell, 86, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, July 28, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Oct. 17, 1905, in Shuqualak, Miss., son of Jim and Luvertta Ramsey Campbell. He and Sarah Lockett were married Nov. 27, 1927. She died May 9, 1959.
Survivors include three sons, Frank and U.V. Campbell Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Hoye Campbell of Chicago; five daughters, Arjean Seals, Lanice McDonald and Sara James of Chicago, Thelma Mosley of Cape Girardeau, Blondell Young of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Arrabella Mannings of Meridian, Miss.; a brother, Grady Campbell of East St. Louis, Ill.; 59 grandchildren, and 72 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7-8 p.m. Saturday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
