ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Urias Quick of Anna will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. Jon Niswonger will officiate. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Quick, 81, died Thursday, June 29, 2000, at The Abbey in Carbondale.
He was born Aug. 13, 1918, in Ridgely, Tenn., son of James and Gertie Rose Quick. He and Nellene McIntosh were married July 1, 1939.
Quick was a retired farmer. He had worked at Transcraft and also worked with his sons in concrete construction.
Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Claudia Murphy and Darlene Quick of Anna, Barbara Copeland, Sandra Samples and Kay Tatum, all of Portageville, Mo., Debbie Penrod of Steeleville; three sons, Kenneth, Ronnie and Tony Quick, all of Anna.
Also surviving are four brothers, Dalton and Pete Quick of Portageville, Dee Quick of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Bill Quick of Niles, Mich.; two sisters, Pauline Hufstedler of Portageville, Lillian Stevens of McClure; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
