MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Mary Ulene Baker, 80, of Marble Hill died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at Elder Care Nursing Home.
She was born June 12, 1920, at Schlatitz, Mo., daughter of John and Ethel Shell Collins. She and John W. Baker were married Dec. 22, 1937. He died Nov. 18, 1992.
Formerly of Zalma, Mo., she was retired from Paramount Headwear. She was a member of Hahn Chapel General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Baker of Asuncion, Paraguay, Freddy Baker of Advance, Mo.; three daughters, Yvonne Cato of Hazelwood, Mo., Faye Smith of Marquand, Mo., Laverene Owens of Purdin, Mo.; a brother, James Collins of Baldwin, Ill.; a sister, Mildred Newell of Marble Hill; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, a brother, and three sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Huff officiating. Burial will be in Clubb Creek Cemetery.
