JACKSON -- Uldine Tice, 81, of Jackson died last night at her home.
She was born June 24, 1924, in Shinewell, Okla., daughter of Monroe and Sarah Sartin Smith.
She grew up in Shinewell, Okla., then lived in Idabell, Okla., Brawley, Calif., and Chula Vista, Calif. In 1980, she and her husband moved to Jackson.
She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau and a veteran of World War II. She served as a WAC and was in airplane maintenance.
She is survived by her husband, Richard H. Tice of Jackson; four daughters, Shelba Branscum and Shirley Mackenroth, both of Jackson, Sherrie Duncan of Hayward, Calif., and Sara McDonald of Gaasta, Mich., a brother, Durwood Smith of Bentonville, Ark.; and six grandchildren.
Two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Antioch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Glenn Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were by Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
