Trula E. Ladreiter, 92, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007, at the Monticello House.

She was born Feb. 7, 1915, in Pocahontas, daughter of Dr. R.D. ad Sally Bowers Blaylock. She and Vernon Ladreiter were married Sept. 14, 1934. He passed away Aug. 19, 1996.

Ladreiter went to grade school at Pocahontas where she enjoyed playing basketball; she attended Jackson High School where she sang in the Girls Glee Club.

She was a member at New McKendree United Methodist Church for over 72 years, where she was active in the Dorcas Circle and sang in the Chancel Choir over 60 years. She also was a charter member of Sweet Adelines.

Loving survivors include two sons, Rodney (Nancy) Ladreiter, Terry (Pam) Ladreiter, of Jackson; a brother, Cecil (Chola) Blaylock of Cape Girardeau, five grandchildren, Carol (Bob) Baugh, Martha (Kenneth) Austin, Rob Ladreiter, David Ladreiter, Christi (Chuck) Munden; seven great-grandchildren, Sarah Ladreiter, Gabe and Maggie Baugh, Alex and Brock Austin, and Caleb and Rileigh Munden; and four cousins.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Kenneth Wayne and an infant son Richard Lynn.

Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and Tuesday after 9 a.m. at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Revs. Jimmie Corbin and John Rice officiating.

Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to New McKendree United Methodist Church Choir fund.
