Troas Joiner, 39, of Cape Girardeau died peacefully in his sleep at home Thursday, June 15, 2017.
He was born March 2, 1978, to William Troas and Martha Joiner.
He graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1999, where he was elected Homecoming King his senior year. Troas was very fortunate to have had many caring friends during his years of attendance in Cape Girardeau public schools.
He loved sports, anything with a round ball. He enjoyed working at VIP Industries and took great pride in his work accomplishments.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel, where he was an usher, assisted with Sunday school and assisted with vacation Bible school.
He is survived by his parents; aunt, LaDonna Suttle of Santa Barbara, California; cousins; and many loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Troas and Lillian Joiner and Vyron and Lillian Harmon.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Weston Wildauer officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel.
