TREW HOYT

JACKSON -- D. Trew Hoyt, 91, of Jackson died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 18, 1906, in Industry, Ill., son of Charles and Cora Trew Hoyt. He and Alice Blain were married July 19, 1926. She died March 13, 1977.

Hoyt was a custodial supervisor at a bank in Illinois, retiring in 1980. He moved to Jackson in 1984. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, C. Trew Hoyt of Chicago, David Hoyt of Moline, Ill., Kenneth Hoyt of Reynolds, Ill.; a daughter, Allyne Schriefer of Geneseo, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

There is no visitation or service.

Burial will be at a later date in Kewanee, Ill.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson was in charge of arrangements.
