Tony LeGrand, son of the late Adam LeGrand and Lorena Scherer LeGrand, was born June 20, 1935, in Benton, Missouri, and departed this life Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at Delta South Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sikeston, Missouri, at the age of 85 years.
LeGrand retired from Procter & Gamble and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, and was a resident of Benton.
Survivors include sons, Michael (Trudy) LeGrand of Brighton, Michigan, Kenneth (Heidi) LeGrand of Whitewater, Ohio, and Carl (Mary) LeGrand of Madison, Ohio; daughters, Yvonne LeGrand of Benton and Donna McCloud of Napoleon, Ohio; brothers, Ralph LeGrand of Cape Girardeau, Monroe Legrand of Benton and David LeGrand of Jackson; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and also by a special friend, Glenda Kelley.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Denise Bevis, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Denis Church in Benton, with the Rev. Bala Swamy Govindu officiating. Interment, with full military honors, will follow in the church cemetery.
