Tony Kissiar

TAMMS, Ill. — Tony Kissiar, 35, of Tamms died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 15, 1973, in Carbondale, Ill., son of Larry Eugene and Carolyn Mueller Kissiar. He and Kandi Pind were married Dec. 27, 2003.

He was a registered nurse and director of nurses at City Care Center in Anna. During the post-Sept. 11 crisis, he went to New York on his own time to help local hospitals and received an award for that service.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Victoria Michelle Kissiar of Tamms; three sons, Marshall Clayton Ramage, Isaiah Anthony Kissiar and Elijah Kade Kissiar, all of Tamms; his mother, Carolyn Kissiar of Tamms; two brothers, Ronald E. Kissiar of East Cape Girardeau, Ill., and Larry J. Kissiar of North Dakota; and a sister, April D. Kissiar-Arenas of Tamms.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, Ill.

He was preceded in death by a son, his father and maternal and paternal grandparents.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Boyd officiating.

Interment will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Ill.
