SIKESTON, Mo. -- Anthony Roy "Tony" Helmes, 41, of Dowagiac, Mich., died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at his home.
He was born April 23, 1959, in Sikeston, son of James Edward and Elsie Robinson Helmes.
Helmes was a hairdresser at Regis Hair Styling in Dowagiac.

Survivors include three brothers, Glen Helmes of New Madrid, Mo., Jerry and Kevin Helmes of Sikeston; and a sister, Sharon Helmes of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
