SIKESTON -- Funeral service for John Thomas Williams of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Ed Thomason will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery here.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Williams, 78 years old, died Friday, Dec. 28, 1990, at the VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was born June 4, 1912, in Cadiz, Ky., son of Joshua David Franklin and Dona Mae McIntire Williams. He first married Jessie Vaughn, who died Nov. 17, 1967. He later married Annie Lou Lott April 4, 1970, at New Madrid.

Williams was a retired machinist foreman at International Shoe Co. in Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Chuck White of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Mary Eddy of New Madrid, and six grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, two brothers and a sister.
