COCOA, Fla. -- Timothy Baird Dougan, 58, originally of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, in Cocoa.
Tim was born to David and Carol Dougan on Dec. 26, 1962.
He attended Cape Girardeau Central High School and completed his vocational training in Laplace, Louisiana.
He worked at Cape Canaveral supporting Launch Systems for NASA. He had worked on the space shuttle program and was most recently working on the next generation HL Heavy Lift vehicle program.
Survivors include his parents, Carol Dougan (Chandler) James of Bloomsdale, Missouri, and David (Benne) Dougan of Lady Lake, Florida; brothers, Chris (Paulette) Dougan of Clayton, Missouri, and Gregg (Dana) Dougan of Webster Groves, Missouri; daughter, Denise Brown of Gonzales, Louisiana; two grandchildren, Jace and Jonnie Brown, also of Gonzales; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Collie and Altha Shirrell of Cape Girardeau; and paternal grandparents, Forrest and Lorraine Dougan of Jackson.
A memorial will be at 10 a.m. Nov, 20 at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Kyle Castens of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal City, Missouri, will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran School in Cape Girardeau.
