Timothy L. Cook, 57, of Burfordville died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Southeast Missouri Hospital
He was born Feb. 17, 1954, in Cape Girardeau, to Raymond and Ella Mae Hutson Cook. He and Helen Sweet Morton were married Nov. 20, 1993, at Burfordville.
Tim graduated from Jackson High School and Southeast Missouri State University.
He worked as a concrete finisher for Penzel Construction Co. for more than 20 years and for Fronabarger Concreters for more than 10 years. He was a member of Concrete Masonry Union Local No. 908. He also raised Polled Hereford cattle on their farm in Burfordville.
He was a member of Burfordville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Cook of Burfordville; his mother, Ella Mae Cook of Burfordville; a sister, Sally Allen of Brush, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Teresa Crump of Chaffee, Mo.; stepgrandchildren, Trey, Nick and Cory Crump, all of Chaffee; several nieces and nephews, Andy Cook, Don Allen, Mark Allen, Elizabeth Allen, Tom Gibbar, Jimmy Gibbar, Scott Frakes, Robby Hadley, Candi Hadley, Terry Hadley, Sherry Kirchhoffer, Farron Mantz, Travis Mantz and Chris Mantz; and a great-niece, Charlotte Cook.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ervin Brooks officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Fruitland.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Burfordville Baptist Church.
