WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Mr. Tim "Razor" Ballance, 62, of Wolf Lake died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at his home.

He was born Dec. 13, 1953, in Anna, Illinois, the son of Dorris and Mary Groves Ballance. He married Karen McKnelly on Dec. 31, 1994, in Wolf Lake.

Razor worked for Southern F.S. for many years. He will always be known for his saying "It'll be all right."

Razor is survived by his loving wife, Karen Ballance of Wolf Lake; two sons, Mark T. Ballance Jr. of St. Louis and Jesse Ballance of Wolf Lake; two daughters, Amanda Ballance of Seattle and Ashley Ballance of Wolf Lake; his mother, Mary Ballance of Wolf Lake; sisters and brother June (Richard) Vanover of Murray, Kentucky, Audrey (Brad) Burchyette of Tonganoxie, Kansas, Dennis (Linda) Ballance of Carterville, Illinois, Angie (David) McMahan of Wolf Lake, Mindy (David) Livesay of Wolf Lake and Tina Bryan (David Peters) of Webster Groves, Missouri; nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dorris Ballance, and brother-in-law, Scott Bryan.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Memorial services will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Danny Jones officiating.

The family would prefer memorial contributions be made in his honor to the Wolf Lake Community Center. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
