Arvo Timothy "Tim" Archer, 72, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. Arvo Timothy "Tim" Archer, 72, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 30, 1943, in Metropolis, Illinois, son of Jack and Gena Dankers Archer. He and Nellie "Nel" Mosley were married June 4, 1968, in St. Louis. She passed away Aug. 30, 2010.

Tim worked at LeeRowan in St. Louis before being transferred to the Jackson location in 1994. He worked for the company more than 30 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of bowling leagues at Jackson Bowling Lanes and West Park Lanes in Cape Girardeau.

Loving survivors include three sons, Tim (Becky) Archer of Jackson, Carl (Shirley) Archer of Oak Ridge and Michael Scott Archer of Oak Ridge; two daughters, Terri Niswonger of Jackson and Crystal Kay Archer of Oak Ridge; two brothers, Jack (Judy) Archer of Troy, Missouri, and Gary Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Mary (Charles) Bremer of Staunton, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Deborah Lynn Archer.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Jaster officiating. Interment will be in New Salem Cemetery at Daisy.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Mississippi Valley Therapeutic Horsemanship or Knights of Columbus Handicap Easter Egg Hunt, 1216 Tesson Road, Hazelwood, MO 63042.
