ADVANCE, Mo. -- Thomza Zimmerman, 99, of Advance died Monday, May 24, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Oct. 12, 1904, at Millersville, daughter of Robert and Louise Caroline Moll Drum. She and Lyman Zimmerman were married Oct. 25, 1927, at Bloomfield, Mo...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Thomza Zimmerman, 99, of Advance died Monday, May 24, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 12, 1904, at Millersville, daughter of Robert and Louise Caroline Moll Drum. She and Lyman Zimmerman were married Oct. 25, 1927, at Bloomfield, Mo.

Zimmerman had worked for the Advance newspaper. She co-authored the column "From Dawn to Dusk" 21 years for the former Bulletin-Journal Newspaper in Cape Girardeau. An article by her was also published in Reader's Digest in the 1960s. She had lived in Advance since 1921.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Virgil Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
