Thomas U. Fox, 75, 1213 Fairlane, died Thursday, May 30, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Oct. 31, 1915, in Culleoka, Tenn., son of Tom G. and Josephine Warden Fox. He and the former Etta Kimes were married July 31, 1937, in Franklin, Ky.
Fox received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri, and served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a research engineer more than 20 years with Monsanto in St. Louis. Fox was a member of VFW Post 3838.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Debbi Browne of Cape Girardeau, Bettye Griffor of Clarksville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Cassie and Laura Brown of Cape Girardeau, Kenny Griffor of Virginia Beach, Va., Karl Griffor of Copperas Cove, Texas, Keith Griffor of Clarksville, and a great-granddaughter, Amber Griffor.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Miles White will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
