NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Thomas Henry Teyssier, 79, of North Myrtle Beach, formerly of Jackson, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019.
He was born Dec. 7, 1940, in Cleveland to the late Ferdinand and Dorothy Pillars Teyssier.
Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a 30-year law enforcement veteran. He retired in 1994 from the U.S. Treasury Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, where he served as a special agent. He was a past commander at the American Legion Post No. 186 at Little River, South Carolina.
Tom is survived by his son, Bernard V. (Barbara) Teyssier of Bridgeport, West Virginia; sister, Aleen Dammann of Long Beach, Mississippi; and grandchildren, Thomas W. (Clover) Teyssier, Daniel Freeman and Shay Freeman, all of Bridgeport, and Bradley (Julie) Vipond of Elkhorn, Nebraska.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean June Teyssier.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 15 at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens in North Myrtle Beach, with a celebration of life gathering for friends and family at the American Legion Post No. 186 at Little River.
