Thomas Michael Smith, 76, of Scott City died Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, at Saint Francs Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 1, 1943, in Cape Girardeau to John Henry and Mary Elizabeth Lynn Smith.
He worked in housekeeping at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He had previously worked as custodian and bus driver for Scott City School District. He was a member of Scott City First-Family and Youth Worship Center in Scott City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Thomas is survived by a brother, Jim Smith of Scott City, and a sister, Mary Lee Davis of Scott City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Scott City First--Family and Youth Worship Center in Scott City, with the Rev. Larry Rouse officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Lightner Cemetery.
