Thomas F. Morrey, 90, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at his home.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 19, 2009, at St. John LaLande Catholic Church, 704 Range, Blue Springs, Mo., 64015, with the Rev. Angelo Bartulica as celebrant. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kan.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Tom was born to Alfred and Mary Dolan Morrey on April 5, 1918, in Vinita, Okla. He was united in marriage to Margaret Mary Green, who preceded him in death Oct. 1, 1998. To this union were born seven children. Tom wed Lou Sheehan Pitner March 15, 2003, and together they enjoyed six wonderful years of marriage.
He was employed at Dow Chemical Co. many years as a mechanical engineer and then as a hospital engineer at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Tom was a 4th Degree Knight and had been a member of the Knights of Columbus for 60 years. He was also a member of St. John La­Lande Catholic Church.
In his spare time, Tom volunteered at Vesper Hall and had a passion for rebuilding antique cars and airplanes. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
Tom was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Mary; parents; and a brother, Alfred.
Tom leaves behind his wife, Lou Morrey of the home; children, Mary Anne Cresto and husband David of Union City, Calif., Monica Bayer and husband Bo of Gainesville, Fla., Rosemary Gianelli and husband Jerry of Gainesville, Jane Parkin and husband John of Gainesville, Joseph Morrey and wife Diane of St. Joseph, Mo., Ellen Trakas and husband Tony of Blue Springs, and Tom Morrey and wife Traci of Littleton, Colo.
Also a stepson, David Scott Pitner of Midlothian, Va.; twin sister, Alice Allen of Coffeyville, a sister, Nel Flanagan of Coffeyville; and 18 grandchildren.
The family would like to express special thanks to his caregivers, Marla Harris and Mary Pat Medina, for the loving care he received while in the home.
