LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. -- Thomas Joseph Moranville, 87, of Lee's Summit, formerly of Perryville, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at a medical center in Lee's Summit.
He was born Dec. 1, 1920, in Silver Lake, Mo., son of Leo T. and Gertrude Tucker Moranville.
He and Rowena Devenyns were married Nov. 8, 1952. She survives.
He owned and operated Moranville Plumbing & Heating in Perryville from 1958 to 1964 and was a retired factory representative with Hasting Industries.
He was a member of Our Lady of Presentation in Lee's Summit and a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree.
Survivors include his wife of Lee's Summit; two sons, Steven Moranville of Las Vegas, Paul Moranville of Las Cruces, N.M.; three brothers, Charles Moranville of Sykesville, Md., Robert Moranville of Hillsboro, Ill., Richard Moranville of Florissant, Mo.; three sisters, Anna Marie Devenyns of Colorado Springs, Colo., Rita Esselman of Quincy, Ill., Mary Howe of Broomall, Pa.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Chapel. A Catholic wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate. The rosary will be at 9 a.m. Monday.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
