SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Thomas Hart of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Timmy Estes will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
Hart, 75, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1993, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
He was born March 29, 1919, at Puxico, son of Issah and Ethel Hart. He and Carrie Bounds were married Oct. 10, 1960, in Corinth, Miss.
Hart was a self-employed auto mechanic and owner of Hart Auto Cleaning in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Puxico.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Butch Hart of Riverside, Iowa, Denny Hart of Dumfries, Va., Eddie Hart of Sikeston, Douglas Hart of the home; two daughters, Patricia McCasling of Chaffee, Evelyn Amaral of Visalia, Calif.; two stepsons, Emmett Bounds of Cape Girardeau, Floyd Bounds of Fredericktown; a brother, Richard Hart of Charleston; a sister, Ella Swancy of Harrisburg, Ill., and eight grandchildren.
