Thomas Raymond Enderle, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Villas of Jackson.
He was born Dec. 8, 1936, to Benjamin and Dora Heuring Enderle. He and Reba Simmons were married Sept. 23, 1995 at East Cape Girardeau, Illinois.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and then the Army National Guard 15 years. Thomas worked for Harris Truck and Trailer for 36 years. He then drove his own truck for 10 years, after which he drove for Jimco Transport for more than 20 years. He was driving trucks until his 81st birthday.
He was a member of Maple United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a son, Rodney (Kathy) Enderle of Jackson; three stepdaughters, Joan (Rodney) Simmons of Cape Girardeau, Loretta Dodson of Cape Girardeau and Gwen Edwards of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, seven brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Graveside funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Illinois, with the Rev. Stan Hargis officiating.
