SCOTT CITY -- Thomas Edmond Castleman, 76, of Scott City, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1992, at his home. He was born May 8, 1915 at Illmo, son of Frances Hogg Castleman. He married Helen M. Gross on May 8, 1938. She survives. He was a brakeman for the St. Louis Southwestern Railroad, retiring in 1977. He was also instrumental in the consolidation of the Illmo and Fornfelt schools in 1946. He also worked toward the consolidation of what is now the Scott City School District...

SCOTT CITY -- Thomas Edmond Castleman, 76, of Scott City, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1992, at his home.

He was born May 8, 1915 at Illmo, son of Frances Hogg Castleman.

He married Helen M. Gross on May 8, 1938. She survives.

He was a brakeman for the St. Louis Southwestern Railroad, retiring in 1977. He was also instrumental in the consolidation of the Illmo and Fornfelt schools in 1946. He also worked toward the consolidation of what is now the Scott City School District.

Other survivors are one daughter, Neisha Schwartz of Thebes, Ill.; four sons, Larry Castleman, Fairfax, Va., Edward Castleman, Cahokia, Ill., Bruce Castleman, Indianapolis, Ind. and Mark Castleman, Scott City; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

No services are scheduled. Arrangements are being handled by the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Scott City.
