SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Thomas Everett Smith, 81, of Sedgewickville, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Winfield, Ala., son of Harry Walker and Stella Irene Webster Smith. Smith was a member of Carpenters Local 1596 and attended Sedgewickville Lutheran Church. SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Thomas Everett Smith, 81, of Sedgewickville, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Winfield, Ala., son of Harry Walker and Stella Irene Webster Smith.

Smith was a member of Carpenters Local 1596 and attended Sedgewickville Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received four Bronze Stars.

Survivors include three brothers, William Smith of Ozark, S.W. Smith of High Ridge, and Edwin Smith of Ocala, Fla.

There is no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 7 tonight at Sedgewickville Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Mary Waudby officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Springfield National Cemetery in Springfield.

Liley Funeral Home of Patton is in charge of arrangements.
