ST. LOUIS — Theresa M. Ressel Reynolds, fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023.
Theresa worked 42 years for American Airlines as a ticket agent, which helped fuel her love of travel. This allowed her to travel to all locations around the world but also to help others succeed with their travel plans.
There weren't many people she couldn't make friends with. Her story telling was legendary among the family. After her retirement and move to Cape Girardeau, she was a volunteer at the gift shop at Saint Francis Medical Center and later gave tours at Old St. Vincent's Catholic Church. Her greatest joys came from being of service to others, from her work in the airline business to volunteering in retirement.
Theresa is survived by her brother, Fred (Linda) Ressel of St. Charles, Missouri, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Iva Ressel, and brothers, Charles, Ralph, Paul, Donald and Wallace Ressel.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Missouri, with burial immediately following.
Theresa will be missed, and the family is grateful for all the condolences. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Old St. Vincent's Church, 615 William St., Cape Girardeau, MO 63703 (Memo: In memory of Theresa Reynolds).
Kriegshauser Brothers Funeral Service of St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
